Make It Snow

There aren’t enough words to properly describe how blessed I am to have such an amazing group of friends and family. Maybe it’s the season...maybe I’m getting old[er] and sentimental...but whatever the reason - I love you. Just thought you should know. Another thing I love? Christmas cards. They make me so happy!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everybody! May all your holiday wishes come true.
Christmas Charity
Last night, on my way home from my volleyball game, I added a new item to my Christmas Charities list...
I allowed an older gentleman to fall asleep on me on the subway.

Now before you get creeped out, let me give you a few more details:
• He was sitting in a position to where his back was against my right shoulder - so he wasn’t even close to spooning me.
• He was a well dressed man, who looked like he was heading home from work. I know a bum when I see one.
• He looked exhausted. I felt sorry for the fella.
Maybe I was in a good mood from our volleyball win...or the spirit of the holiday season had washed over me. Either way, I decided not to throw him on the floor like I normally would. I just sat there and let him snuggle down deep into the right arm of my down coat.
Your welcome, sir. Happy Holidays. (The photo is for reference only. Not the actual man.)
VIDEO: Christmas Fun!
I couldn’t resist forking out the $12 membership fees to make these videos. They got me. I’m a sucker. But I can’t stop smiling! Merry Christmas, everybody!
Jingle Bells - Me, Brannon, Taylor, MeMe, Poppy
Comin’ To Town - Brannon, Taylor, Mommy (My Sister), Daddy (Bro-In-Law)
TGIF
TGIF = ThanksGiving Is Finished.
This is the only TGIF that I’m not happy about! I LOVE Thanksgiving! It’s my favorite holiday because it revolves around my favorite past time...eating!
I am beyond thankful for the friends and family that I have. I love you guys so much!
Now...cue the slow motion photo montage...

Approaching Turkey Day 2010
My Momz and Stepdad are on their way up to NY as we speak! (Ok...as I type. Unless you’re reading this aloud. In that case, you’re the one making it weird.) We’re looking to repeat the awesome event that was Thanksgiving 2009. Prepare yourself for food porn.
My Future Daughter – Halloween 2020

...and if you don’t who Janelle Monáe is...you’re sleepin’.
Halloween 2010
It’s been a while since I’ve thrown a shin-dig, so I decided to throw a Halloween party this year. It was AMAZING! Thanks to everybody who came!
Parson’s Peeps - Natalie (80’s Prom Slut), Amy (Rosie the Riveter), and Me (Ironic French Maid, dur.)

The costume winners of the night, Damien and Christina. They came as Charlie Sheen and his hooker. She even had a handprint-shaped bruise on her arm!

Me, Newsy (Medieval Candy Defender), Jess (Chief Knitatoga), and Matt (Mexican Wrestler)

Katie (Upper Eastside Housewife, who recently invested a bunch of money is selling rabid pet squirrels that she gets from Central Park...yes, there's a backstory.), Me, and Mónica (Navi)

Me and Laura (Kenny Powers) Another great costume! And later in the night, Matt demonstrated his “I can balance anything on my nose/chin” skillz.

Happy 30th Birthday…
...to ME!!! I hit the big 3-0 today. So, ummm...hooray...I guess?!? I’ve had mixed feelings about it so far. A little sad that I continue to grow up (in age, that is). I loved my 20’s so much! But, I’m also happy about the current state of my life, and the great things to come.
All I know is that I’m getting a massage and hot wings today, so I’m happy!
¡Feliz Cinco de Mayo!
A message from my Mexican dignitary, Aldo Caballero:
Dear gringos, today is NOT Mexican Independence Day. That is all.
If you’re up for learning some Mexican history - or interested in being the only American who knows what they’re talking about - here’s the Wiki page.
Puff the Magic Dragon
After several unsuccessful attempts to upload a much longer video, I finally had to cut this down to everybody’s favorite part...Puff the Magic Dragon! The whole family gathered around one night to sing Brannon to sleep. Papa’s on the guitar. Nana’s lead vocals. Poppy and Daddy are backup vocals. The rest of us are just groupies. I love the singing, and it melts my heart when he snuggles up to his Mommy. Night night, Brannon!
